Do not attempt to crush an aluminium drink can by stamping on it and then lose your nerve partway through, because then not only have you done something loud and conspicuous, you will have failed in your goal of reducing the can to a nice thin disc.
Do not ever ever ever ever ever ignore the parameters of an essay/exam question.
Do not leave yourself less than a week to write an English Extension 1 creative. Or any English thing, for that matter.
Always check if you've left your USB behind at a computer.
Never drop your trainsport passes into a crack between train seat and wall.
Don't listen to an mp3 player while buying stuff because there is a chance you will mishear what the cashier said and make a fool of yourself.
Always proofread everything you type/write/etc. Multiple times.
Save your work obsessively.
Back up your work. Email it to yourself. Stick it on Dropbox, etc.
Do not zone out in class. Or if you do, review the work when you get home.
Do not make all your notes for science in the few days right before an exam. Make them as you learn them. Or before you learn them. And then memorise.
TRUST YOUR GUT INSTINCT.
When writing clues for yourself about your many different passwords... being cryptic is good. Being so cryptic that you are later unable to figure out what the hell you meant is... kind of annoying.
When taking a shower, always make sure that the door is fully closed in order to avoid accidentally flooding the bathroom.
Do not jaywalk.
Be careful when walking and do not trip over sticks!
Do not ever, ever, ever get complacent about your academic performance. Never. It can lead to soul-destroying screw-ups.
Never leave your locker keys inside your locker.
If using a combination lock, never change the combination by accident. If you do, and have the fortune to figure it out again, WRITE IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. Do not trust that you will remember it, just in case you happen to forget it two seconds later.
If you finish an exam suspiciously early, ALWAYS CHECK to see if you've accidentally skipped a question/page/booklet. Make sure you have in fact COMPLETED EVERYTHING.
